aiMagicFish, a service of Clockwork Innovations, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of the individuals depicted in photographs you submit. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use our AI-powered storybook creation service.
Special Notice Regarding Children: Our service collects photographs and names of children with verifiable parental consent as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We take additional precautions to protect children's information.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Contact Information: Email address for order confirmation and delivery
- Character Information: Names and ages of individuals to be featured in the storybook
- Photographs: Images of individuals to create AI-generated characters
- Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers
- Shipping Address: For physical book delivery (collected by Stripe)
2.2 Biometric Information
When you upload photographs, our AI system analyzes facial features to create stylized character artwork. This constitutes "biometric data" under certain state laws (including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act). We:
- Only collect biometric data with your explicit written consent
- Use this data solely to create your personalized storybook artwork
- Never sell, lease, trade, or profit from biometric data beyond providing our service
- Permanently delete original photographs immediately after processing is complete, or within 7 days if the order is abandoned
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- IP address (for consent verification and fraud prevention)
- Browser type and device information
- Timestamp of consent and transactions
3. How We Use Your Information
We do NOT use your photographs or biometric data to train AI models. Your images are processed once to create your specific artwork and are then deleted.
- To create personalized AI-generated storybook artwork
- To process payments and fulfill orders
- To communicate with you about your order
- To maintain legal records of consent (as required by law)
- To prevent fraud and abuse

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- We collect children's information only with verifiable parental consent
- We verify parental consent through credit card transactions (an FTC-approved method)
- Parents can review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's data
- We collect only information reasonably necessary to create the storybook
- We do not condition participation on disclosing more information than necessary
